Hi, I'm a young (25 yrs old) respectful fisherman living in Minot N.D. Always looking for a way to get out on the water but spend 98% of my time confined to shore, which I don't mind at all during the spring and fall migrations (souris river) but these dog-days of summer are really getting to me. I would love to gas up someone's boat and get out on the water somewhere we can pull a few eyes in! Always nice to make friends with similar interests.

More than anything. haha but unfortunately most are quite a bit out of my price-range and my little rear-wheel 4-cylinder sonoma would have a heck of a time pulling one.

Yeah this one would be a little much for a four banger. Now I think a v6 4wd small (s10 or so) pickup can pull smaller boats.

If you ever get down south I'd be happy to take you out. small lakes are hot right now if you are looking for limits of 14-16" fish. not long ago I was in your position, limited to shore fishing. I've since bought a boat but the funny thing about life is I have what seems like less and less time to get out..... I used to shore fish every wkend when I was your age, many times after work as well. now im lucky if I get out 6 times a year. . . . Its the pits getting old ;:;boohoo

If your talking about my belated one from the end of june in riverdale, that was my only time on the water I felt like mentioning from the last 5-6 weeks haha, and I normally get out to fish 4-6 days a week if that says anything about the river/backwaters in Minot right now. cant even hardly find bullheads or pike in town...

You should be careful what you ask for...between my pickup (37 gallon tank) and my skeeter holds at least 40 gallons. It might be cheaper for you to just hire a professional and pay by the hour.

Go to the zoo, and cast small X-raps under the bridge at night. Retrieve with an erratic twitch and reel. should have no problem getting a limit of 5 nice eyes. use pearl white, or green & white, fire tiger, etc.

It seems I would be thousands of dollars ahead just filling a few tanks of gas over the years rather than boats, trucks, repairs, and all the gas anyway.

Maybe this new guy is on to something
