HUNTING SEASON that is...For me anyway.

Speed goats and grouse have been open, but now on Saturday till January, the hunt is on...for EVERYTHING!

ps I'm not ready, Might get some roosters Sat and Sunday

I concur with Fly Carpin, better not get too excited just yet. This weekend might be a better weekend to watch football or nock an arrow than spray lead at a rooster.

I'm getting old, just a few years ago I'd have my goat out of the way and butchered. I'd have a feel for the fall and know where I want to be opening morning for the deer. Antelope hunting doubles as deer scouting. Pheasants would be an afterthought, something to do between deer walks. Now....I'm like, I might get out in the morning and take the dog for some roosters, and going to Bismarck with the wife....on OPENING DAY!!! Oh well, she let me go to Vegas!! And I do have till Jan 1st to tag that deer. Just got to get myself going and start getting out there.

My buddy and one of his friends taged their goats and a deer a couple weeks ago and I think he down there no trying to fill his deer tag. Most deer are holed up for the Oct lull. Did you put in for an elk tag?

Just take a kid out this weeken!! Youth Pheasent season starts Saterday.

The bidding side of it looked totally rigged from what we saw! Did laugh when a farmer tried to kick him of tribal land saying it was posted. Took out his phone and started filming and ask him to repeat what he had just said....all he did was swear at him and then left! :;:muahaha

Just went and picked up my tags this morning. Is there a highest bid for one, if so I can believe why the guy who got one got it, if not bid, its rigged for sure.

Sealed bid so noone knows what the others bid. The bidding started with a minimum bid of $5,000 for the bull and $2,500 for the cow.

So was there a lottery too? Some kids said they bought chances for the elk. Have they drawn it? The one name I can believe would win a sealed bid, but if he won a lottery, then its rigged.

There was a lottery for residents and the bidding for non. Total of two bull and to cow tags were available.

So any luck yet? Us nonmembers start sat so hopefully it's not to muddy from the rain at the end of the week. Was a little surprised to see some of the mules were already rolling in heards over 20.
