Might head up to LOW this weekend. Just curious about access and travel on the lake. Anyone been up lately? I want to get off the beaten path and wondering how easy it will be to get around with a 4x4 pickup. Any recent info is appreciated. Any need for a 2nd extension? Thanks in advance.

Check out the resort pages. Zipple bay, springsteel, sportsman, cactus, Arnesons, etc. Give one of them a call.

The problem is those guys want you to come up and stay with them, but bait from them, etc., so I don't always trust them 100%. How often do you have guides tell you the fishing sucks and you should stay home? I would rather get a real report from someone with nothing to gain by my decision.

Where do you plan to go out of? You will not get far off Adrian's road with pickup as the ice froze super rough and broken up. You will want at least a 12 inch extension and to dig down to the ice to get through in some spots. Adrian's have the road plowed all the way to Knight and Bridges. The road was still in descent shape on Saturday. I was off the beaten path with a track machine. Fishing was tough on Sat. Marked a lot of lookers that wouldn't commit. Just one of those blue bird tough bite days. I did get a big pout that had me thinking trophy walleye. Those things do that, ha. I was not all the way to knight and bridges on Sat, but we had good fishing up there a couple weeks ago. I hit the 29 footer and the 9 footer instead.

Then word your question that you are looking for exact fishing spots with GPS Coordinates. I was more so addressing your access question on if you can get off of their roads. They have tons of people who just use their road systems for $10.00 a day. They will provide you with the information if you can get off of them and how the travel is.
