Borden Harbor road goes back into Lakewood. There is that other little inlet between Lakewood and Marina Bay, maybe that little inlet is actually called Borden Harbor? Not sure on that one.

That's the one. If you zoom in on the satellite image I think you can see the rock on the south side of the entrance to Borden Harbor.

As many boats that have been just south of the Lakewood entrance, I'm still seeing people get dangerously close to the jetty that is now underwater. I have one friend (I wont name names) that took out a lower unit already and I watched an alumacraft smack into it on sunday. Just a heads up!

Yup, I was there at the same time. I just missed that rock and scooted out of there (no idea it was there). We were drifting right next to you, DM. It's just one of those things about fishing the river in this area; lots of hazards I hate dealing with. I prefer the lakes. :;:cheers

Hit that one once in a friend's boat. Luckily his boat was steal hulled jet boat designed to go into the bad places so no harm was done but it's a solid little SOB if you smack it.

I was wondering who the guy in the skeeter was with the NDA decal on the windshield.

When I first read this post I thought it was about the rocks at Borden Harbor. A few years ago I was invited to the big house on the south side of the inlet. He said that boats were getting messed up on rocks that were right out in front of his place. How they got there I don’t know but rocks are absolutely out there.

Haven't navigated that stretch near Bismarck yet but rock piles have cost me plenty. Anyone take off north out of the Washburn ramp beware the pyramid rock. That'll sink the most seaworthy of vessels. lurks just below surface.

Lincoln, kinda...
There are some sunken treasures around the Wilton dock as well.

Oh yeah, I fished that area a couple weeks ago for the first time in a few years. Yep, those rocks on the east shoreline north of the Steckel boat ramp are still there. Some of those SOBs are about half the size of my Lund!

I like to trim the motor up as far as I can while letting the prop still grab the water and pull cranks along that shoreline. It WILL scare the shit out of newbies tho.

There is an old sunk steam boat frame work in the same area.

I guess one advantage to being an adventurer and having owned several Sea Doo PWC for close to 20 years and having canoed and kayaked the river my entire life and exploring about every inch of river between the spillway down to U-Mary area has its advantages for knowing where the hazards lay.
