I drove from Fargo to Grand Forks and back again. Not one person driving in the passing lane. I drove between 81 or 83 mph there and back. Everyone must have read this trend.
They were all on ‘94 today between Fargo/Jamestown and back. There was a pickup and 2 cars that were swapping spots like they were braiding something behind them.

I will say that the HP was kind enough to hang up behind a semi going low 70’s and people creeped past @ 74.5MPH.

Absolutely prefer 29 over 94 and 81 if roads are shit in the winter but I'm a northerner not a westerner.

Seems the fellas(or lesbians) driving Subarus are the effn worst.
I disagree. Tahoe/Suburban/Expedition/Sequoia along w/their re-badged counterparts as well as anything Audi, Mercedes, Infinity, Genesis, or Lexus.

Regarding Subaru, I'm always amazed on I-90 in the summer from Sioux Falls to Spearfish, the number of Subaru's towing campers. Much to their credit, I can't recall ever seeing a tow-rig Subaru sitting on the side of the road having failed.

They are actually reliable cars. I would own a legacy or wrx...others..nope..but those two are decent vehicles.

Clear open roads, no reason to crowd anyone from behind or befront.

Turn yourself into a rolling road-block, don't be surprised when folks are discourteous to you.

People who don't/won't use cruise on dry open roads are the worst. Just yesterday in <100Mi I passed the same car 2x as well as caught and pulled out to pass the same car 4x more and when I got to her rear bumper she sped way up. She'd get beside someone she was passing then slow down and "pace" them. I had my cruise set.
I felt like I wrote that and the others. I could sleep while you were driving.

I had a ‘13/14-ish Legacy. Never had a lick of trouble. I never ever felt like the car was out of control on any road surface.

It was loud wind/road noise, and the seats sucked.

That said, kiddo 1 drives a Forester. I drive it on rare occasions. Doggone thing is like driving a glass box, you can see everything.

I had to do a 1-day driving school every 3-yrs for a previous employer. The last instructor who rode w/me said the very same thing.

They’d bring a vehicle that had been modified to allow them to turn/control the rear wheels to simulate a slide. He zigged the rears, I zagged the wheel a bit, zig, zag, zig, zag, finally he says, I get that you can probably drive this thing sideways, but, you gotta let off the gas a little for me to pass you on this deal.

He was red-faced embarrassed when I pointed out to him and his partner that their 5th Wheel coupler for the trailer that hauled the slide-simulator vehicle was sans lock-pin as they’d been from Denver to Bismarck w/several stops in between.

Yeah they are reliable..its to bad they get the lesbo/gay persona cause they are a good vehicle. Good example of a company that should stay in their lane and focus on selling cars and not dei support.

After 14 hours on the road from South Dakota to Tennessee yesterday I would rather drive up north. It’s like fucking mad max once you get past kc and Nashville at night for some reason they all drive with the bright lights on going 105 on I 24. I win the lottery I’m flying everywhere in a chopper with my dog.

I don’t think KC is too bad…St Louis was a little worse. Nashville area is a little interesting. None of them hold a candle to Memphis or Atlanta

Drove through KC in July, effn lanes in the metro are 3 feet narrower than any city I have drove. Fast narrow roads, and way to many women drivers. Was a nightmare.

On divided highways you’re supposed to leave your brights on and not dim for oncoming traffic. Only have to dim if following someone. You overdrive your dims at higher divided highway speeds making it less safe.

It's always kind of interesting to see how we all view different cities. While I don't necessarily like Kansas Shitty, I'd much rather drive there than Las Vegas or Salt Lake City. Those are the only two stretches I grew to despise on my trips to Havasu.

I agree, dimming is not required by the law on divided highways and the reasoning for it. However, on curves in divided highways, I still dim my headlights if the oncoming traffic is in the bullseye of my headlights. Then again, my 4Runner has brighter than normal headlights and I can sympathize with those trapped in my high beams.

There is nothing more dangerous than overdriving your vision. Whether that's poor headlights, or one's own lack of good night vision is irrelevant.

That’s the problem with 80 mph speed limit at night…overdriving your headlights

Lots of issues with the new 80 mph law:

1. The lights issue you mentioned.
2. Our roads are shit. I29 north from Hillsboro to Mayville is total garbage. Shouldn't even be driving 70 on that stretch.
3. Too many shitboxes on the road that have no business going 80.
4. Semis still go 65 and take half an hour to pass each other.
