It's like on Facebook when you hit the like button, it turns to unlike in case you want to "unlike" it. So here, when you give the thumbs up, it changes to the thumbs down so you know where to click if you change your mind. Did that make sense?

This is the litter we picked our pup from, we named him "dumpster" because he has a habit of eating what he's not supposed to (legos, dog toys, etc.)

He has put on some size since a year ago, luckily his bloodlines are from a smaller locality of an already small specie of crocodile.

Have you trained them to point and retrieve yet? Apparently cats can be trained, why not these!

these are probably smarter than cats, lots of new discoveries about their behavior. Crocodilians have even been recorded using tools and bait to feed. Dumpster is clicker trained to separate feeding time from handling, and he can count (to 5 so far) if I show him 5 food items, then set them out of sight, he will stand and gape until I feed him the last one. They're much smarter than we thought ten years ago...but dumpster will probably never be to good at hunting upland game, and the water is too cold to use him by the time waterfowl season opens.

She's getting up there in age but still a great dog, its going to be tuff for all of us when she's gone.
My mom raised labs for about 35 years in ND. If you have a lab in ND chances are somewhere in that pedigree is some of her breeding.

this is my black lab Quinn she will be 3 July 9th, got her from a litter of labs my dad had she was the runt of the litter and we have been inseparable since the day she was born, she even comes to work and hangs out by my desk with me all day. She's AKC certified and a pointing lab, even tho i didnt do any pointing training with her, she locks up solid on point on roosters in the fall, which is super fun to hunt behind. She has turned into an amazing hunting dog, very obedient, and loyal. I think i got my once in a lifetime dog on my first go at it.

581540_4081052517812_459074834_n.jpg This is Quinn's first hunt as a pup, just getting her feet wet on a early morning dove shoot, had more fun chasing the other GSP around the field then any hunting, and then when it rained she layed down under the cover of my shell bad lid haha crazy how fast she has grown!
32613_10100535083749965_673943832_n.jpg This was our first actual hunt a spring snow goose hunt when she was big enough to actually move a bird around and start to get a feel for what was going on. She certainly didnt like the feel of feathers in her mouth at first and i blame that on starting her with morning doves and their fine feathers that i read later that some dogs dont like and can make them shy of feathers. that was our biggest obstacle when it came to training was keeping something with feathers in her mouth.

1461877_10100751959479265_2062927790_n.jpg This is Quinn's first ever rooster, we were away from the rest of the group working some tall grass by ourselves and up jumped this rooster right in front of her nose and down he went and she was right on him and brought him right back like she had been doing it for years. Very proud daddy moment! Now after 2 full pheasant seasons under her belt i wouldnt want to be behind any other dog in the world!

This is Finn. This is the most recent picture I have of him unfortunately. He is about 3 months in this pic. Just got him this winter and just started working with him. I think he will do very well in the field.
