If you had the cash would you buy this or go with a traditional sonar like a vex or Marcum when hole hopping?

I’d have one in a heartbeat. Got buddies that have it and it sure is addicting. Maybe I will get one when the govt sends me all my subsidies.

Not completely sold on mine. My buddy was fishing 30 yards away catching fish and I wasn't even marking fish below me. 10-12' of water. I could see fish by him and he was catching I couldn't get anything. I turned mine of and went blind I started to catch fish. I turned it back on nothing. Anyone else relate to this. I heard from a buddy that hired a guide on Winnipeg and they don't use them for the same reason.

I'm waiting for less cumbersome integration. Basically in my mind I see a re-designed bow-mount motor case where the whole front is an "eyeball", or there's a "bubble" off the front somehow.

I can create a chaos of clutter with the gear I have now without adding more mounts and cables.

Kudos to the organized who can be early adopters of the tech.

The time I mentioned above was on the ice. The next weekend out I had my wife with and she was using an older unit and I had live scope and I caught all the fish and she caught one. Might have just been the day who knows.
