I'm not seeing the names of reputation givers. I'm also too tired to dig any further.

People had asked to see how many rep points they had, so I enabled the reputation tab on the profile pages. I was unaware that it would allow folks to see who had left negative rep. It works better if it is anonymous.

I am turning the tab off on the profile pages again, for now. Until I can work in a fix.

I think rep is pointless since there became a circle jerk club called rep party USA where people spit on each others hands and get rep from each other.

It still serves it's purpose, as it allows me something solid to monitor.

However, I don't think it is a good idea to have another such party.

Names NEED to be assigned to positive and negative rep imo. Look what we uncovered just today... not really a person I want to associate with interweb or otherwise, as it appears to be chronic and not just one user being harassed. Just my 2 penny's V, you do what you think is best

No rep is flat out stupid and to allow guys go around and post crap without their name is bullshit. If they have desire to put the negative rep in then they should have the balls to stand behind it! Anything else is going to leed straight back to this same in fighting.

The system flushes out the truly negative people.

Two guys have been fully banned from the community, and a 3rd has limited access to the site. You may be able to guess who they were. I did not promote the fact that they were banned, but the system is doing as it is intended.

If you feel that you are getting too much random bad rep, and feel that it is someone picking on you, just pm me, and I'll take a look, but negative rep will continue to be anonymous, as I do not want people shying away from using the system.

The penality should also include the releasing of their names A little public humiliation goes a long way. Maybe you could create a wall of shame and post their names there

So then what is the end result of say someone giving chronic bad rep or some giving bad rep and signing someone elses name?

I am curious why the rep system will still not work as intended if a name is attached Vollmer. Given the context of what we have now seen in some of the comment included in the bad rep, certainly it seems as if a name should be attached if people are going to comment in such a manner. At least I give lunk credit for having the balls to sign his name.
