this might be a dumb question at this point... but, since this is a non constitutional measure, is it safe to say that it only needs 50.1% of the vote to pass?

Yes, youll see the anti's continue to go crazy for the next couple weeks, it should be entertaining...

And there is no such thing as a dumb question...... well almost, but I find them few and far between.

Education on drugs/alcohol has been in the school for years. Dont think it's working. How would change if recreational marijuana was legal?

In a perfect world all the surplus dogs , AKA (The ones that I keep reading about that will be no longer be good for anything and a waste of taxpayers money) would be sniffing out schools and places kids hang out and the kids would self educate within the first 24 hours to the point of not having weed or drugs on their person for fear of getting caught rather than thinking they won't get caught. Word around school age kids travels faster than the speed of light. That is a start and fear is a good thing in this case.

That k9 dog thing is just more BS, trying to appeal to softies. Even if some dogs need to be replaced, they wouldnt be euthanized or anything. None would be sold to the Chinese for stir fry.

also wanted to say that I wasn't by any means dragging my school counselor through mud, He was doing his job. It's just that not much was being expected of him but if we upped his wages and educated him how to get involved and maybe even give him a badge he would have been worth of a hell of a raise and it would create a sought after job.

Ha ha dogs running around schools. They need handlers. Cant be cops cause they would be to busy chasing the hard drugs and criminals. Have the school district hire handler educators. Add more to the high property taxes. Just so kids can figure another way around the system.

Yes at a local level. My comment was based on many comments in this thread how cops are wasting their time on petty marijuana violations keeping them from real crimes and hard drugs

If that were the case achuck we wouldn’t have the drugs on the street like we do. Even if the cops know where drugs are they can’t just knock on the door and arrest them. It is a huge process involving detectives and informants and operatives. It is really hard to get the dealers if not impossible. You don’t want your kids getting anywhere near these people to buy some weed as they could end up trying all sorts of stuff. This is why MJ is known as a gateway drug Because to buy it comes with the risk of being exposed to harder drugs.

The good thing is that if kids have to figure another way around the system you are a step ahead of them and have removed drugs from the school and hang out areas where my grand kids are. I realize dogs need trainers, What is being swept under the rug on M3 is financial gain from sales tax as well as less prison use and less need for more jails. Use the resources we have to get to the root of the problem. Scrap the medical because our leaders threw time and money into it to make it unusable and created a bunch of long term jobs. Money that I feel could be put to better use.

How does the state collect sales tax on a federal illegal product. My understanding was you can't even put this stuff in banks. I'm not trying to be a smart ask here. Genuinely want to know.

Drug dealers are great marketers. There main focus group are kids because they are vulnerable. Making one drug legal will not stop dealers from getting their products in there hands.

Right , But it will keep drugs out of schools and hangout areas where the most exposure is and where my grand kids are.

Someone else can explain the tax part , I'm not a tax man.
