Seems like there are new regulations every other day in the medical industry. I called my local pharmacy to find out how much my copay would be for a continuous glucose monitor but I only found out they can't supply them to people on medicare ?? So then I called my called my Insurance company, United Healthcare and the lady said I should be able to get it for zero co-pay if the supplier is a preferred network pharmacy and will "accept assignment" , meaning they will accept what medicare will pay. It only took me half a day to get this far down the rabbit hole , I spent the rest of the day trying to find a mail order pharmacy that will "accept assignment".
Have any of you old timers been down this road ? I could sure use some help.
