Metal roof or shingles?

We replaced our cedar shakes 4 years ago with metal. Part of our celing is vaultrd and it gets noisy there when it rains hard. Love it! The rest of the house with sheet rock ceilings is faily quiet. It defintely messed with cell and fm radio reception. Had to go to wi-fi calling. I put snow breaks over the driveway part in hope of stopping the big slide. Haven't had enough snow since to try them out.

I should say too big difference in Menards metal or building supply farm shed metal VS Clooten siding or ABC flat heavy guage or custon from SMS sheet metal in BIsmarck.

I have shingles on my house and installed a metal roof on my cabin. After having both, I see no issues with the metal and would actually do metal again if I'm building a new property. I do not have any problems with cell reception either and I don't think the metal is crazy noisy in a rainstorm like some people said it would be.

if i could buy shingles from the 70s id consider shingles, the new ones seem like junk, everybody with metal roofs will be replacing screws eventually as the rubber washers rot unless you get the tin you cant see the screws. i see in canada they are using a metal roofs that look like tile, they come in 4x4 pieces. look really nice.
