Yep, 5 batches of specks flew over (higher than hell) on walk yesterday with the pooch. No intention on settling in anywhere.

actually found some northern mallards to hunt this weekend and some lesser canadas in area so they must be trickling in my area.
How do you know there Northern Ducks. I was hunting late season yrs ago and had some Mallards came in. I knocked 2 down and they were both banded. Both had leg band and one had a triangle on one side and square on the other side of it bill. Going thru it nostrils. Both were banded at Arrowhead refuge North of Jamestown N.D. of June that yr.


My point is they only migrated about 80 miles south and it was mid November.

That would be a northern duck since north of me as I said. Also in huge flocks which we didn't have 2 months ago. Not too hard to determine that.
