Snow, let me give a quick lesson on the situation. Everyone has the right to invoke their 5th amendment (right to remain silent/self incrimination) in a CRIMINAL investigation. That includes you and or anyone accused of a crime. The officer can only be compelled to provide a statement in a what's called a Garrity statement. That statement can be used against him CIVILLY, but not CRIMINALLY. If the officer refuses to provide a Garrity statement, you can be terminated or disciplined by the employer. They aren't "cooking" anything, it's the same everywhere, and spelled out by the Supreme court rulings over the years and by the constitution. I'm not saying it's a good shoot or not, just explaining what's happening is pretty normal.

He was hired to fulfill their diversity desires. It bit em in the ass. They will have to re-evaluate their hiring practices now. And it's going to cost them millions of dollars for this screw up. The ironic thing is they brag about spending a million dollars last year for training these short cut newbies yet it's going to probably cost them 5-10 million in the ensuing settlement.

The cadets must of missed the day when to turn on their body cams not after the confrontation has occurred.
