That sucks Skeeter.
Surprised they didn't use plastic line rather than copper for the replacement.
They used plastic when we replaced ours at the NoDak farm 6 or 7 years ago.
How far is the tank from the house? Can you hand dig it? We used to hand dig in propane lines all the time back in the day. You only need it a foot deep.
it’s over 100 ft. I will probably put plastic in when I put it in the ground but for now I wanted copper laying on the ground instead of plastic.

-32 this morning at 6:30 when we made our last minute call to send 9 buses out on the rural roads to pick up students. Was a nervous wreck until the last one got in, now to go through it all again after school!!!!! I need to retire?

It's a good thing we don't have a lot of fresh fluffy snow , The wind blew hard all night.

What is a good source of winter survival heat in a vehicle ? I'm upgrading to something more modern, Something propane that is small and safe that puts out a lot of heat. Has anyone used those big candle cubes ? I have a few from years ago , The only place I ever tried them was in my snow fort when I was a kid but damn they put out a lot of heat and for a long time.

Woke up this morning to it being 51 in the house. Went out to check on the 1000 gallon tank that was filled in July and it’s empty. I never use more than 500 gallons all winter so major leak somewhere. Spray checked all fittings and nothing, pressure checked main line and won’t hold pressure so it’s broke under ground somewhere. So now have copper tubing laid out from my tank to house in my backyard. Gonna be awesome to trench that in next summer while trying to dodge sprinkler system. What a great start to the week.

Damn, this minus shit isn't any fun, right skeeter. Puts me in stress mode with my 41 yr old trailer house, even tho I've got my problems sorta nip in the bud. The heater under the trailer control by switch in house, works like charm, turned it on twice so far, sunday at 7 am, then yesterday after work all for about 1/2 hr to thaw out the pipes. Just wish I'd put this in place like 10 yrs ago...lol. Now this year I have notice that the trailer loses heat fast, furnace set at 74, kicks in every 10 minutes. Its time to go broke and get a new home I'm afraid, think this is my last winter in it. Get the new home enjoy it for a year or so, then be homeless after cant afford the mortgage anymore.
Being in Debt is the new American way slogan, right? SMH Figuring I need to borrow about 200K, manufactured home, new water and sewer, electrical and some landscaping (need to remove trees for the new home). Anybody seriously want to help with ideas and such let me know. I'm down to 3 home plans, 1 from centennial homes, 1 from Iseman and 1 from Lietchy. Wish me luck.

I did a 1282 sqft stick built house from steinmentz out of watertown with a full icf basement and a 28x32 garage with water and septic for a bit under 200k but i did a fair amount of the work my self. Its well built and insulated i use less than 500 gallons of propane a year and doesnt take much electricity to keep it cool in the summer . I dont know what you want to do your self but it can save thousands and just with the foundations the icfs make it really easy
