Well she's going to at least 1616 down there. But that said we don't want much more then that or they will blow all the smelt out of her again.
What is Oahe's max elevation and what did it hit in 2011?

boat ramp FYI

https://www.myndnow.com/news/bismarck-news/mandan-boat-dock-closes-due-to-rising-water/1253981754

The Little Heart Boat Dock near Mandan is closed until further notice due to rising water.
According to the Morton County Parks and Recreation Department, water is coming in over the black top. The dock has been pulled and the area is closed to any and all traffic.
The Graner Park and Fort Rice boat docks are still open, but are being closely monitored.

Just wait until they put an idle only on the river that should rile up a few guys

Knowing is an awful lot different than guessing.

Are you saying the COE is guessing ? I looked at the information that was provided by the COE and with my uneducated little brain and some basic math I could see their numbers did not jive.

She's at 1612.3 heading for at least 1616 (as far as the perdiction went but still rising at the end.) Record is 1618.3 So effectively the same as Sak as pertaining to available vertical room. . Releases are scheduled to get to 44,000 vs the 59,300 in 97 that took out the smelt.

You must be a special kind of dick to wallow in others misery

Err, what misery? The river is expected to top out at around 13 ft, which is 1.5 ft below flood stage. How can you possibly be so worked up about the Corps operating the dam as designed and without exceeding the river stage that the state and locals have set as the "flood" stage?

Lets see what this next slow moving system brings. If you have been paying attention the COE had things under control at 30,000 oops I mean 44,000 oops I mean 52,000 oops I mean 60,000 and we will see where it goes next week, I don't think we are done st 60,000

The water in Bismarck is high, no doubt. It's still far below what it was 7 yrs ago. And we have a LONG ways to go to 150K cfs.

And the walters are still hungry. Lotta crap in the water, but the fish are still there. Still feeding. Not that I like walleyes more than the carpet in my basement, but I'm not panicking.

Obi, you make it sound like the Corps is also responsible for the weather.

Dude, are you sure you're cutout for living next to water? If there was anything in my life that created nearly as much angst as what this does to your online persona, I'd be making some damn changes. Maybe, hopefully, in real life you're a little less stressed.

you guys all seem to think I am crying wolf but the COE’s actions are mirroring 2011 and now the water is starting to pile up to the south. They keep aying they have 40% storage available but I don’t see it that way

They arent responsible for the weather but they are responsible to have enough available storage to account for above average situations which they seem to be failing miserably at

Whats your predicted sakakawea peak Allen?...assuming no major rain events. I'm going with right up to the lip of the spillway 1853.5.

I'm stinking with this guess. I still don't think it is out of the question. I know you didn't think this was possible before Allen, do you still think so or have you changed your prediction?

Musselshell is flooding too it looks like.

Velveeta.... minus the ET
The dam in the video is north of great falls called Ryan's dam....I got pictures somewhere but it's a pretty good size dam, but allot of what you see in the picture is huge rocks and rock waterfalls.... that video makes things look like Hiroshima of water release for people that never seen the dam at low water levels
