This is sometimes an unpopular opinion, but trying to save a dog from water is just not a smart decision. They can swim much better than you, so if they are struggling your probably going to drown. Way to many stories like this of guys jumping in to save a dog and drowning and the dog makes it back to shore just fine.

My big buddy Darin went in for his dog, cold as eff out, he stripped off his pants and warm clothes and went in. It all turned out, but in my mind it was the dumbest shit I ever witnessed.

I have never loved an animal more than myself, but maybe I am lady like?

I would never risk my life for an animal. I can always explain to my children why we no longer have a pet. But I could never allow my wife to have to explain to them why they no longer have a father.

I’m very cautious around any ice out hunting having a dog you can call off a bird is a very important thing a lot of people can’t do. An ecollar can save a dogs life in situations like that. Feel horrible for that guy and his family.

Speaking of COLD….

You’d think the water off the coast of Coronado CA would be warm. Think again!

PS: Don’t try and fight my wife! She’s going to kick your ass!

That right there is some ball shriveling shit. It really surprises those who have never been there before.

Theres worse ways to die. youll definitely go to heaven if you die trying to save your dog...

Men who have died trying to save their pet = hundreds
Women who have died trying to save their pet = zero
Sorry, but good works alone will never get you into heaven...You must follow what the bible says and that is to have faith in Jesus Christ, repent of your sins, believe that God raised him from the dead and believe and confess that Jesus is Lord and Savior. Good works comes along with and after this, not before it.

Shorthair 1 -- swam all the way across the lake to come join the party of us that had boated over to the side without wind. I dont know how far it was but it was stupid on her part. She escaped to do it too.

Shorthair 2-- climbed up the pool ladder hopped in and made laps under the pool cover round after round - hot under that pool cover --- i have no idea how long if i was going to make a guess i know it was longer than 2 hours. Yard was fenced she had access to the ladder.
