+/- on him being caught poaching again? He's only 23, on average he's going to live another 60yrs without hunting privileges in most of the USA.

He's got a felony, several misdemeanors, and he already has a lifetime ban. What are they going to do to him now? He's got nothing left to lose.

I'd be welling to bet my theory is 50% true - Once a poacher, always a poacher.

I don't know him, but I bet there are those that do and really like(d) him even though their own conscience forces them to now ask "what the hell were you thinking".

People that embrace bad decisions walk among us on a daily basis. Yet we don't dislike them until they are caught.

Personally, I am surprised at both the lifetime ban and the lack of jail time.

What the heck is a lifetime ban on hunting and fishing when he broke the law hunting and fishing already. Do they honestly think he is going to quit hunting? These sentences always just amaze me.

the only incentive to quit hunting is the mandatory jail time he will get if he is caught doing that. but that's about it

Where exactly is the punishment? No deterrent whatsoever, that's why it keeps happening.

He's a poacher he doesn't care about doing it legally and this won't stop him.

They need to start treating these people like the criminals they are and handing out prison sentences.

I think he just goofed up, and really had no intentions of being a poacher.

Couldn't he just self-identify as a law abiding, ethical hunter now and then be treated as such?

horns make people very stupid. I have seen perfectly normal people go insane if they see horns

Personally, I feel sorry for the schmuck. He made some very bad decisions and will forever be judged by them regardless of whatever else he may have been doing right in his life. This is exactly the kind of stuff I like to show my kids. It would seem that no matter what other good you may do in life...you will forever be judged for your lack of discretion when the opportunity arises.

How do we feel about NDA members acting as undercover informants for state and federal law enforcement agencies? Asking for a friend.

So my friend wants to know does your friend think NDA members are pure as the driven snow???

It’s safe to say the public responses here to snagzilla and marijuana legalization have garnered some attention.

The outfitters that employed him should have got pinched too IMO.

So what if someone that works with you goes out and does the some thing, do you think your employer should get charged also?? :;:huh Asking for a friend.
