We went from white to brown to white and now back to brown in a month. Now they're talking an inch or two of rain. In March. Ding Ding Ding, yes I'd like to get off the crazy weather train at the next stop. Yes, and would it be possible to skip the stop with the thunderstorms in April and go right to the soft spring rains of May stop. Thanks, that would be great.

I agree, 70 degrees yesterday and 30 and a chance of snow today in Mandan. Building back to 57 and rain by Thursday then accumulating snow and cold for this coming weekend all to flip to the upper 50s by the following week. Crazy

Yep, for the most part. However, when it comes to pheasants, I think they may have taken a hit. When the snow melts a bit more it will be interesting to see. I’d say the carnage is a bit higher than average in our area. Actually more than a bit.

Habitat is sparse and limited to certain areas. Those areas are getting hit harder since they have more than an average amount of birds. It’s the cycle, and it won’t come back without more habitat.

Mostly hens, which is normal. Such is the nature of ditch parrots.

No snow here lake is opening up and the pheasants couldnt have asked for an easier winter at this point they are good for the year. Sucks for the waterfowl still hoping we can get a big spring dump and fast melt to fill up the sloughs from here to Saskatoon

I’ve seen ice storms in late March and early April kick the shit out of the pheasants!! They aren’t in the clear from that yet!

Now we're getting snow again. I think Mother Nature is off her meds as well as intoxicated. Good Grief!
