Motorguide or Minnkota

Is the poll for what you HAVE or what you PREFER? I have never used a MG so don't know if I would like it better or not. I wish DM would tell us which he prefers instead of dancing around the subject.

Ha. I've ran both and prefer my motorguide. On top of that, if batteries die in either the foot pedal or my remote, its a couple of screws and in goes a new set of batteries. No recharging bs. It's also quieter and prettier.

Yes, you can now jog with the new Terrova! And yes I am looking for more reassurance, because I had never considered motor guide until my roommate talked about bad experiences with Minnkota and to look towards the Motor Guide route. So now I am just comparing. I have a good battery, but a 24 volt system I think would be overkill for my boat. Its only 14 feet long, but it is fiberglass.
