I have a 30x40 shed that has pro-rib steel for the exterior. I have been thinking about getting it insulated for quite some time, but haven't figured out keep the mice out. This shed has a nice concrete floor, a single regular door and a 16 x 8ft garage door. I see evidence that the mice are coming in from the bends in the pro-rib. Anyone know of a product that can be used to gap all these?

Great Stuff makes an expanding foam pest block that says it works on mice. I have used it to seal tractor cabs with success.

I have used the rodent version of great stuff and they chewed a hole right through it. They make hard plastic blocks formed to fit each rib that you glue in place.

I would go steel wool and great stuff. If it's possible raise the dirt around the edges so it tapers away and covers the bottom of the steel.

They make an L shaped channel that you can put on bottom of steel if you have enough room, might have to pull a few screws or nails. If you can use the L channel and then calk you pretty much draft proof your walls.

This is a sure way to rust the bottom of your wall panels.

Is there a base trim on the bottom of the wall sheets? I would find it hard to believe that if there was a base trim at the bottom of the sheets that the mice could get in. Install the base trim and closures that you can buy from the same supplier as the wall panels. Keep the dirt below the base trim as all this would accomplish is to rust out your wall sheets.

Something similar to this

Thank obiwan.

I was looking at it last night and thought about mixing up a couple bags of concrete and throw a trowel full in each rib, but the L piece is probably more correct
