MINOT, N.D. - It's national coming out day and some members of the gay straight alliance club at MSU are spreading the word.

The club is celebrating the LGBTQ community in the area and around the world.
The day is meant for some people to take a leap of faith and be accepted for who they are.
One of the members of the group says she's happy she has the support of the community.
"This year especially has been really nice. We've been able to get a lot of awareness out. For me personally, I just came out last year so it's been nice to have a really good support system on campus. There's not a lot of discrimination that I face personally," said GSA member, Kacey Donamaria.
The GSA booth will be in the student center for the rest of the week.
Anyone on here that's in the closet, today is your day to open that door.
