I dont think there are any dangerous lookalike shrooms to the puffballs. Ive eaten them before, they arent bad, not GREAT, but as long as they are young and firm still, not bad.

ive picked morrells and puffballs. to me the best puff balls are dried, so when you kick them, you get a big puff of brown dust.
