...widespread frost is expected across western and central north
dakota the next several nights...

On wednesday night and thursday morning...western parts of north
dakota will likely experience frost. Frost is then likely across
much of western and central north dakota thursday night and then
each night through the weekend. A freeze is possible in northern
areas thursday night...and over much of the area on friday night
when temperatures may drop below 32 degrees for several hours.

Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left unprotected. Plan
now to cover them or move them inside.

Not an encouraging forecast...especially to get a rise out of the water temps!

Off work on Friday...wanted to hit the water somewhere but 32 degrees and 15-25 MPH winds may keep me in dry dock!

I used to hook up the water lines at the lake in early May, as soon as I "thought for sure we'd be out of the woods by now". Learned the hard way to wait until late May now to get the water flowing.

I would guess it wont be a hard enough freeze to damage water lines, however your young green plants will be in the danger zone.

I planted an apple tree last may and was surprised by it flowering (is that what they do?) this spring. Been a tough little tree and I can't wait to cut it down some day for apple wood smoked flesh. Wife hasn't planted anything and I'm not going to put a garden in this year. Guess I'll clean out the garage.

Started seeing mosquitos last weekend, so a good frost is welcome in my book. Garden isn't in yet anyway.

This spring seems windier? than past springs. I know they keep temperature and rainfall records..wonder if they track number of days with winds over 20mph?

Wind above 15mph at least 5 of the 7 days per week. ;:;banghead

I purchased a high-wind designed US Flag for the flagpole last year April, at $54.00. Yeah, that already started fraying by September. So much for the labeling, huh? I'll just go back to buying four flags from Menards when they go on sale for $14ea later this month. They usually last a couple of months and I go two flags per summer/fall before the pole gets telescoped down and quiet for the winter months.

Yeah the two at my place will make a couple pickup loads in the big years and a few garbage cans full in the off but last year got hit by the frost and only produced about 20 apples between the two of them.
