New Guy Here

Everyone calls me Lando. I live in Cody, WY which is about 50 miles from Yellowstone National Park.



I have trout water three minutes from the house.



I have a little Jack Russell/mini-Aussie mix that's the best boat dog ever.



I love tacos.........


I guide down in Saratoga, WY during the summer months at a member-owned golf resort.





But anyone can catch trout.



I spend my spare time chasing poopfish..........



Bassfish...........



but my real love is pike.




Especially seeing how big of a fly I can make them cram into their mouth.



My fishing partner is my lady, and she flat out gets it done.





I have a few applications out that way, so I figured I would join up and see what's happening. I am planning on a trip out that way this spring job interview or not.

Welcome Lando! I hope everything goes your way. I've never fly-fished, but would like to try. Often, it's a bit breezy for it here in ND.

Pike on a big streamer would be a lot of fun.

Yeah, it is a nice place, but too many trout. The closest pike for me would be a three hour trip over the mountain. My main lake, and THE ONLY lake in Wyoming with pike, is 5 hours away, but totally worth the haul.

Welcome lando,few fly fishers here but hard core walleye folks,you'll get your fill of pike on devils lake,might take some time mingling with locals about slough pike which hold healthy pike population's,most folks don't hold pike as sacred as walleye spots so you'll be good to go once you land in nodak,also don't rule out lake sakakawea for your pike fix.

Welcome. When you do get this way, be sure to bring a big side dump or 3 along. Fill them up with slimers and take it back with you. Then you could start your own slough shark pond. The ND perch and walleye will thank you.
