imo baker is head and shoulders above darnold.

I actually like mayfield.
other than last year with the bucs the stats show he is marginally better. While they both played on the panthers and had about the same stats.

Do i think Darnold is the savior hell no. Is he a better option than the passtronaught or big pick nick yep.

I agree.

Although, I WAS planning on watching them a bit this year. I was very optimisic to see the kid play. Now? I'll probably do more bird hunting.

I think you are thinking of somebody else. Mayfield never played for the panthers and his stats are better than Darnold's. Of course Darnold started for the JETS who sucked at the time and been just a backup the last 2-3 years.

Yep looks like he started the first 6 games of 2022 for them and got hurt and then released later and picked up by the Rams. His career stats are still better then Darnold IMO

Stats aside I also think Mayfield is a better overall football player.

I'd personally take him WAY over Darnold if all the stars and moons aligned in a perfect world.

The best thing to do with these young QB's is to sit them for 2-3 years and let them learn and mature.
Too many get thrown to the wolves either right away or the next year.

So far i have been more than impressed with KOC . First year takes team to the play offs last year gets dealt a shit sandwich and it could have been a way worse year.

Dungy could not get over the hump in tampa had to bring gruden in. went to Indy had a hall of fame one of the best ever qb's. So while he is a great defensive mind I dont know that he would be a savior especially with the qb situation the Vikes have

Pretty sure I said Bo nix would have been a better pick....I bet Sean Peyton is glad he was able to get him vs JJ at this point(i know, could have happened to nix)...with that said I hope the young man fully recovers, comes back and tears shit up for the vikings.

Well, it's not common that the 6th or 7th seed in a conference goes on to win the Super Bowl. As I tell people, if you want to be recognized as the best...go out and demand the best available and beat the crap out of them. I follow the Vikes and would love to see them win it all, but they squandered their most recent opportunities in 1998 and then again with the Favre interception.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. The Vikings are going 13-3 with Darnold, winning the North and getting blown up in the NFC Championship. Then they will cut Darnold loose, because why keep a guy who went 13-3, and start JJ McCarthy next season because "He is fully healed and had an unbelievable offseason." Next year is the year to worry about, when they start the first guy they drafted that I WANTED them to draft, with a bad wheel and ZERO experience. I've bled purple in the past. Now I'm just cynical as fuck about them. The one thing that covid killed that I am fine with.

See...CYNICAL AS FUCK...

Perhaps we could have won the Lombardi in 2013 had our kicker not missed that chip shot to win the game. The new stadium was still incomplete for that season so playing outside that day was a challenge for both teams but the queens choked again allowing the seachickens the momentum to win it all.
