Well whatever funky thing that got into the lake my folks live on and made the visibility less the a few inches the last couple months finally cleared up so decided to take a couple laps around and see if the fish were biting. The bluegill were psychotic as ever and the bass were going crazy as well.

Had a ton of hits but unfortunately the hooks on the lure were crap so only managed to catch about one in five hits till I got the hooks changed out. Lots of bass in the 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pound range like this largemouth.

This was the best of the day and is a fair bit bigger then it looks and is about twice the size of the largemouth in the previous pic. Unfortunately I would guess he had a 20% shot at living due to a hook to the gills. All in all landed 11 bass and one carp in three laps and missed and or lost many more. I'm just glad what ever it was in the lake (probably an anti weed chemical) didn't kill off the fish because it was pretty ugly there for awile.
