I'm wondering what internet service those of you who don't have access to land-line internet use? We live in the country and are on the "edge" of Centurylinks reach. The problem is our internet is sketchy at best with them. Trying to find a better option than paying for a service that occasionally works.

Good luck we had Wildblue we were limited to 17gb when you got to 75% of that we got warned the we were using to much and they shut us down to dialup speed $79. We switched to an ATT hotspot that is better but we can't stream any thing as we are restricted to to 30 go.

Yep, what crankn said not many good options, att or Verizon with a large data plan would be your best bet probably if you can get 4g where you're at. Or bug century link enough and they may possibly upgrade their plant(wouldn't hold your breathe though). Is there a telephone co-op that runs close by? A lot of the co-ops are burying fiber to the home which is probably the best internet a guy can get.

Verizon is yours and everybody else's answer that is in your situation. Your either going to use a regular hotspot and have to be super limited to data usage which means no nothing nowadays. Or......you bite the bullet and drop about $400 on a verizon unlimited data plan. You have to buy it somewhere other than the stores, but you will have unlimited data the old school style as long as you choose to never upgrade your phone through them, which is fine just pay cash. Its pretty much the only way around it.

Get directv, that will give you access to unlimited AT&T wireless data.

Even with the directv i think they cap u at 22g but could be wrong. Then comes the throttling. Go to ebay n bite the bullet. Would like to know the real deal with directv n att cuz the bastages are trying to get me to combine, but ive read some shady reviews.

I know this thread is old but instead of making a new one about the same topic why not just add to this one.
The starlink high speed internet system is a game changer when it comes to total home or business internet service. The company I work for has transitioned from the aircard jet pack cell phone internet to the star link system much better instantaneous signal when power is turned on. Can be placed anywhere that has access to open view to the sky. I can't speak on other high speed satellite internet service from other companies but I can tell you starlink internet is global thar is trusted not only by our military but is used by other countries as well.

This is the system we use and is easily capable of allowing multiple devices internet service
The residential service is only 90 dollars but you have a onetime equipment fee purchase on all internet services

I ran starlink for about a year until we were able to get fiber into our new house. It worked great. only complaint I had was that it would occasionally drop me from a teams meeting when I was working from home. Not often, but it did happen once in a while. crummy weather wasn't much of an issue for it. most of the time it soldiered right on through the blizzards or thunderstorms with no interruptions in service.

Have had Starlink for 2 years 3 months now, I love it. Not a problem, price even dropped a couple months ago to $90.

If anyone is looking into getting into Starlink, I have the whole setup that I'd be willing to let go along with an extra bracket to be able to mount it to the roof, or a pole or whatever.

I'd let it go for $375. the base equipment package alone is $500 if you buy it from Starlink. I think the extra Bracket was like another $20 or $30.

It was only used for about a year. I don't have the original box though.
