Do you know why the NRA only has one or two fund raisers in North Dakota? We have a law that says a 501(c)3 as a chapter can only raise $10,000 per year. They are considered one chapter. They would have to create chapters in every town or county to do more. Someone complained and now they don't come to a town near you anymore.
There might be a reward for information relating to who that rascal was.
By "
we" do you mean ND or the USA in general?
I was the Chairman for our local FNRA group for 9 years where I live and I can tell you for sure we raised more than $10,000 a year. I don't understand the chapter thing either, is that something new in the last few years?
For those that don't know it's NOT the NRA it's the FNRA. They're a NON POLITICAL group.
The FNRA raises money for range improvement/construction, school programs (Eddie Eagle, shooting programs), SCTA programs, help fund Hunter Ed Programs and almost anything that furthers shooting sports. At the end of the year all the money raised in the state goes in a pot, half the pot goes to the national FNRA the other half stays in the state. The Chairmen from each local committee get together and vote on where the states half of the money goes.
