What is your go-to ice fishing lure? The one you use when the bite is tough, when nothing else is working, when you just need to out something, ANYTHING, topside.

Mine is pretty simple, I typically go to a small jig and a minnow head.

I dead stick a pink hook with a lively med sized minnow on it. Seems to always get a bite when nothing else is working.

I started using Bink's spoons last year and pretty much stuck with those. The wife mostly stuck with the hot pink PK.

Spoon and medium sized minnow under a foam bobber, while I drink a cold one and leave it the hell alone.

Small hook in a big minnow with a weight about a foot above the hook. I vary the depth from right on the bottom to r or ft off the bottom.

The smallest Lindy Rattlin Flyer spoon they make, but with an upsized treble to better hold a minnow head and hook whatever is down there.

On my deadstick. for several years now I have used a small gold Kastmaster spoon with the treble removed and and a 3-inch dropper to a plain hook. Super simple and effective.

I did this with a Lindy glow spoon last year. The fish wanted nothing to do with it.

This ^

It’s either that or I crank up the reaction bite with a jigging rap or ripping rap.

Yes, I'll keep changing up my one jigging pole in the shack and have my other dead sticks set like I mentioned varying the bottom height on them.
