Yes if it's not electronically posted and no signs around it then it's open.So I just took the free offer of 3 free months. While looking at the map, it's clear if it's electronically posted. So if it's NOT electronically posted, (or physically) is it open to hunt?
Thank youYes if it's not electronically posted and no signs around it then it's open.
Did you get the buck?Thank you
I like that you are splitting the hairs on the various levels of stay-the-heck-out laws. It's been almost 30 years and I STILL remember the butt-chewing I received for hanging the signs with the wrong verbiage.Might have to sign and date a No hunting sign but if you are using a No Trespass I don't think you are required to sign it. I run mostly No Trespass and if I catch someone I'm not calling a warden I'm calling the Sheriff. I do have a few with my name and number on them
That is about the only benefit of e-posting IMO. Negatives I've seen are lots of land that has never been posted now is since it can be done from the couch. Was talking to a colleague a couple weeks ago and he was talking about how his extended family has a few quarters that have never been posted but they did electronically this year since everything else around them was now getting posted so it drove all the pressure to their land. That was definitely my fear when it was adopted and it is playing out.It needs to be one or the other. Electronically you know for certain, posted signs if done legally are fine but there is too many questions the way many try to post there land. The proclamation has never been followed which states "must be signed" . I call bullshit on that. Very few actually sign like their suppose to. At least with Onyx, you can actually find out who the landowner is to be able to ask for permission.
No. That was a one time only deal. Unless something has changed. Is it free every year for 3 months?
Thats exactly the intent of the bills sponsors. Get it to a point where most everything is posted on the app and then say “well heck it’s already damn near all posted, we might as well just consider it all posted now and do away with paper signs” some of us tried to warn about this back then. In fact some of us have been trying to warn about quite a few things the last 10-15 years that seem to get brushed off. ND is about toast for freelance hunting. Get your wallets out boys and girls because once the access apps get going and landowners figure out how to make a few hundred here and there it’s done. Little Texas here we comeThat is about the only benefit of e-posting IMO. Negatives I've seen are lots of land that has never been posted now is since it can be done from the couch. Maybe at one time these landowners allowed hunters but when those allowed to hunt don't respect the land or rules it makes it pretty difficult to continue to allow strangers on the land. I'm not saying that is the case every where but that happened with us and othets we know, but then again we hunt too. Others are allowed to hunt under my discretion but there are rules and if you don’t like them then you don’t need to hunt on oursI guess the thing I dont get is if the landowner and family and friends are not going to hunt it why post it , Roosters live maybe 2 years and I guess they would rather let EHD or Bluetongue get the deer rather than hunters . I drive by many, many sections that dont get a foot set in them all hunting season . Used to be huntable until online posting
it's every year.... I've used it the last 2 or 3 years...No. That was a one time only deal. Unless something has changed.
