They'll give you a stupid price for yours, then charge you an even stupider price to replace it.Have an 18’ duramax four door with 33k on it. Dealer offered more than I paid new for it
Yea that’s no shit. They'll give you a stupid price for yours, then charge you an even stupider price to replace it.
That thing is a unicorn and worth as much as one. I saw an 06 duramax crew cab in the lot with 40k miles, price tag was $57999. NutsHave an 18’ duramax four door with 33k on it. Dealer offered more than I paid new for it
Toyota is not part of the discussion. They have and always will be highly sought. Why not buy the new 4runner.Popular vehicles, 3/4 and 1-ton trucks in particular are still in short supply. Half-tons are readily available. Special ordering anything (if they will even do it) is out around 6-8 months.
Coworker of mine wanted to special order a Toyota 4Runner, local dealership said no to that and you pretty much have to buy what's available or in transit. He ended up finding what he wanted at another dealership and had them deliver to Bismarck.
I'm in the mood to replace one of my vehicles, the 09 F250 has 165k on it, while my 2015 4Runner has 117k. Nothing wrong with either of them, but I need to infuse some youth into my vehicle lineup.
They have 10 HDs on the lot and another 8-10 coming soon. A few on the lot have been there almost 2 months it seems like. All of the 2500/3500s are finally being discounted too. Not much but most are in the $2000-$3000 off MSRP.Rydell in GF has a good amount of 1500s but can't keep 2500s and 3500s in stock. Of course this is the town that has more Escalades and Suburbans/Yukons per capital than most (every soccer mom owns at least 2). Unreal how much $$$ is parked at the hockey rinks on any given Saturday/Sunday.
Reading this makes me wonder what my 2018 2500 HD Denali with 35000 miles is worth
I'd be getting out of a 6.4L Ford sooner than pretty much any 4Runner, and I really like Ford pickups.Popular vehicles, 3/4 and 1-ton trucks in particular are still in short supply. Half-tons are readily available. Special ordering anything (if they will even do it) is out around 6-8 months.

Go to edmunds.com and find "like" vehicle, give you a very good indicator.Reading this makes me wonder what my 2018 2500 HD Denali with 35000 miles is worth
This is good advice.I'd be getting out of a 6.4L Ford sooner than pretty much any 4Runner, and I really like Ford pickups.
There have been really no updates to the 4Runner.Toyota is not part of the discussion. They have and always will be highly sought. Why not buy the new 4runner.
This is good advice.
But, can you "afford" the time it'd going to take for any major fix?Yeah, I hear this often. But I have no complaints at all with mine. One exhaust sensor and an exhaust manifold is all I've done to it outside of routine maintenance.
Edit: Note, I can replace the engine in my current truck 4-5 times for the cost of upgrading to a new truck.

Yes but they have come down a little I have friends in the business. I have 2021 1/2 ton model thought about selling. Then I look and prices are stupid I paid 12 k off sticker new zero % interest gmc 5 years, now 2 k over and huge increase in the retail with covid years. Will wait for now just damn itch a person gets.I have been shopping for something in that ballpark. I'd say that's a $60,000 rig any day of the week

If you look @ the 2 vehicles you mentioned, the smart $$ would bet on major repairs to the F250 before the 4Runner, thus my replacement suggestion.
