I do think police reform is needed after watching this video, if the PO would have been trained in a MMA like jui jitsu one police officers could have easily submitted this suspect. Yes more training is needed and get rid of those tasers seem to me all it did is give that suspect super human adrenaline rush.

there are numerous instances where a taser doesn’t work. Cops are trained to recognize those instances. But they aren’t always obvious. People hopped up on drugs is one of those instances. On the wrong drugs and it does tend to make them act superhuman. This is what dogs and guns are for. Dogs need shit to chew on occasionally.

Right....Most MMA or JiJitsu moves are chokes or joint lock submissions. Where wrestling moves are more to control the opponent. Takedowns and hand control are just second nature. We need to get away from holds that pressure joints beyond the range of motion and chokes. ie the rear naked choke in the video....there are many many options to control a man from that position that just restrains him, not kill him.
