Metigoshe today from the boat house roof deck looking out at Twin Oaks Resort. Still plenty of ice, but some melting near shore. Saw 1 four wheeler on North Lake.

International Peace Garden on the US/Canadian border north of Dunseith, ND.

I am standing on the border with Canada to my right, USA to my left and the Peace Towers out in front.





The Peace Towers had to be torn down because concrete from the horizontal members that tied the towers together started to spall off in large pieces and it became too dangerous. Too sad.

Mount Edgecumbe is a dormant volcano located at the southern end of Kruzof Island, Alaska. Four of us took an Alaskan salmon fishing trip to Sitka, AK in 2007. Came back with 50# of fish, mixed bag ... salmon, halibut, rockfish and ling cod. Only cost $80/lb. Great value!!!

Looking back at one of the worst thunderstorms I have ever driven thru. North on US 95 from Winnemucca, NV on the way to Boise. We were in southwestern Oregon.

Russian Gulch at Russian Gulch State Park 2 miles north of Mendocino, CA. Launched many an inflatable over the beach here to dive for abalone.

One of my favorite waterfowling days. Duck season closed a week before this hunt and before the geese came out we had thousands of ducks landing on us. Pretty incredible.

Swedish Zion Lutheran Church AKA "The Little Stone Church." Fully restored but not used and open to the public. Located 3 miles east and 5 miles north of Souris, ND. I realize that 2 of these are not outdoor photos, but they are needed to show the inside of a remarkable church on the prairie.
