Handed over the last farm payment today. The homestead is now ours. Glad to have that monkey off our backs. Yea Haw!!!!!!!!!!!:D

I know the feeling. I never minded debt as long as it was reasonable and I could see light at the end of the tunnel. Every payment was progress and never missed a payment.

It only took 9 years, loaded the payments to the highside but choked them down, didnt leave a lot left at the end of a coupla years. Might even pour a cold one tonight.

I don't understand those who seem to think there should be no property tax. It's OK to think you pay too much, but with no property tax who would maintain your roads, provide fire protection, police, and any of the other things that you expect the county, city, or township to take care of? Government can sometimes be a PITA but it's a necessary pain in my opinion.
