Anybody use those tube things that go around your neck?? Looking for info as I'm going to need something other than the old style foam vest jobs I currently have that are a pain in the petooty to wear. If I can't get a kayak, I might as well start getting the accessories. (Grin) Thanks!!!

I think there's some out there that are specifically for kayakers and the likes. I wouldn't get an auto deploy vest if I was in a kayak. Too easy to jump in/fall out and those re-arming kits are expensive.

Look for the ones with mesh tops.

Both of those look like they'd work well. The one thing that I would stay away from is a life-vest that has a back floatation piece that goes past the shoulder blade region.

I use the onyx brand in the boat. They go over the shoulder with just a strap around the back. The wife has wore it for kayaking, she fell in, it went off automatically, worked good but then she had to finish the trip with a blown up pfd. They are very comfortable to wear.
