Dean,ain't that a bitch,the tribes use modern technology/100ft gill netts,6 tribes come from wisc for the pilaging,the state turns a blind eye when they setup clean stations and campments at our public lake accesses complete with generators and electric knives,mention old school natives ways to harvest and your labeled a racist or hater,very frustrating.
They come in new trucks and most have newer boats,I watched a couple natives pull one 100' nett close to shore,counted 100 walleyes pulled in 2 minutes,couple large pike or muskies which they dumped back in so that they would'nt count against their quota,each tribe has a quota based on the size of said tribe,example;
One tribe gets 30k lbs of walleye and 2500lbs of pike,if said tribe hits the 2500lb pike they're done regardless of how many walleyes they have taken,so when they dump these pike (all of then are dead) they sink until the water warms then they float and wash up on shore weeks later,sad deal for all concerned.
