Every tournament I have been in allows preference to the non tourney rig. The non tourney boater can bypass the line waiting to get in the water get help unloading, and also have parking space reserved close to ramp. After the loading and unloading it is just like a normal day on the water, if you wave a net or start catching fish other boats will move in tournament or not.

The tournaments I fish do too. I've seen several other people use the ramp during a tourney. No big deal. He would still have to weave through the floating boats to get away from the ramp, and that must really make him mad.

any info on when registration starts? I plan to do all of these this year

Registration is open already, season pass registration has come and gone, but there is still room for you to register for each one individually.

I'd have to bathe in a combination of bleach and rubbing alcohol to feel "clean" after filling out a tournament registration. Blech!!!

To those that have fished this in the past....are you allowed to only take two pictures of each fish, or if you are not sure of the clarity of the picture can you take more than one picture of it on the board? Meaning do all of the pictures need to be in series of board/hero shot in order or can you take a couple board shots before the hero shot?

Any chance someone wants to start a new thread. I haven’t fished a tourney in a few years. If I did, this would be the one to fish as its catch and release. I don’t think AIM needs to be associated with the side discussion that has turned this post in a different direction than what was intended.

Come on guys. Let’s be better than this.

You can take all the pictures you think you need and they encourage it. The hero shot has to be last.

I don’t fish tourneys any longer but will say you gotta like the AIM format of catch and release. I wish they would all go to that. As far as rude tourney anglers... yeah there may be some but there is far and away a butt load more asshole-ish recreational anglers out there then tourney guys.

Things not to do on tourney days:
1. Go out of Graham's isle
2. Fish from the pelican bridge
3. Fish on the eastern golden hiway
4. Try to get a hotel room

Things to do when tourney is on:
1. Have your kid raise your net 50 to times then huddle around one side of the boat
2 u and your 3 buddies park 3 wide at a certain hour under the pelly bridge
3. Pull tubes and kids over the deep main structure half throttle

Forgot #4. Clean your sakakwea (22-27inchers)caught fish at a dl fish cleaning table next to a guide who also fishes the upcoming tourney; and tell em u caught em right on a set of stumps right next to casino inlet true story

Now back to that list of what not to do
5. Sit in the bar and listen to the tourney guys say how fast der boat is, how big waves they can go through, how many big ones they caught today and released, and other big dk bs

Go to the aim walleye series website, there is a list of rules to read and should clarify any of your questions.
