Looked at the site. I agree with what you are trying to do however looking at the complete list of the sites other petitions I am a little bit hesitant to be associated or leave my name on that site.

Lycanthrope is right, lets get our white privilege shit show going..

Im guessing these nets are left unattended overnight? Maybe they need to disappear mysteriously? #walleyelivesmatter

Why do tribes get to have casinos, and net all the fish, seems racist.

I signed Snow, my brother rents a small cabin on that lake and I have fished the lake a number of times over last 12 years + for Walleye and Muskie and yes watching this has been sad death to that lake and area, same has and is happening to Winnipeg now(tribal or not I don't know, but same problem to result in fishing quality) and hopefully will never happen to Devils Lake or Lake Sakakawea as we do have tribes connected to each lake also, so in a small way we do have a dog in this fight. dukgnfsn

Thanx guyz, its a dicey situation, yeah we had nett cutters out there, fights at the landings and frankly I'm supprised no shots fired...yet,.folks that live and depend on tourism have lost just about everything and some have and sold out or lost their realestate, fat cats from the casinos are buying up all the lake shore property as they can when it comes up.Two years of no keeper walleyes have killed the area however the lake is a trophy small mouth lake which helps somewhat but nothing like what walleye fishing brought to the area.

didn't mean for that but while watching this in MN this thought has been on my mind a long time and this just seemed the right time to bring it up, try to head it off before it can get to try here. dukgnfsn

Oh and this is what happens when these brain surgeons get there netts out to early with ice on the lake,we find ghost netts full of walleye and other game fish...One spring we found 15 loaded netts after the wind shifted and ice took the netts out.

duk, your spot on,this has been happening nation wide including canada where they nett all year long, hence the shitty slots in ontario(18 -24" protected) and two fish daily limits, wisc is done as they ruined the lakes there pushing non natives to your area and to the west same deal, sovriegn rights.

so what do the tribes do with all the walleye they net? do they sell it commercially? Sorry, I am not up on this, but seems I better get my white privileged arse educated quick considering what happened at the DAPL here in ND

I think ND is a little different because Sak/Mo. is a federal waterway. Also, I'm not sure the ND tribes have the same type of treaties that have allowed the tribes in these other states to net. I assume it must be a combination of these things or you would think we would have already faced this netting issue in ND.

The netting thing is also why i never order walleye in a restaurant and talk people i'm with out of it as well.

I have no problem with native fishing rights but they shouldn't be allowed to use any nonnative gear. No boats other then berch bark canoes and nets with no metal weights, mono line or foam floats.

You think so? Here's the article on why a federal judge ruled partially in favor of the tribes on DAPL recently.

http://bismarcktribune.com/news/sta...cle_03923e7f-d58c-5b9e-9c09-5ad5365d2643.html

Here's a quote from the article:
"Although the corps substantially complied with (the National Environmental Policy Act) in many areas, the court agrees that it did not adequately consider the impacts of an oil spill on fishing rights, hunting rights or environmental justice, or the degree to which the pipeline’s effects are likely to be highly controversial," the judge wrote.

Get anything before the wrong judge and you never know what can happen.

Oh i'm not saying that it couldn't happen, i'm just saying that there must be some differences otherwise it would already have happened.
