Pre-Spawn/Post-Spawn: Early Season

So I generally struggle in this early part of the year. Partially because I let myself get stuck in a rut, doing the same old things.

So, any tips/suggestions on having success in this early part of the year, when the water is still cold.

With the dams at slow flow it seems like a roulette start this year for boats or shore!
