Booked our first trip to punta cana also. Headed there over thanksgiving for the honeymoon. Staying at the Secret Royal Beach.

The wife does not like fishing so I don't think that will happen for me, but is there any other good excursions or things to do while there? Have done the swim with the dolphin a couple times in cancun already so not really interested in that.

Thanks in advance for the info.

How did the trip go? Any advice for things to do? Looks like Secrets is just up the beach from where I will be.

I am going to pull the trigger and book either a 5 hour or full day private charter just for our crew of 6. The full day wouldn't bother me, but I don't think most of the others would like the all day event. I am leaning towards the outfit Gone Fishing Punta Cana. Has anyone been out with them?

Trip was fun, preferred club services is nice. Our resort was nice and one of the cleanest I have been to. Food was excellent. All the restaurants were good. Alcohol choices was ok, have had better. Beach was a big bummer. Seaweed was bad (like walking on pine needles), water wasnt that clean either. Im told all of the Caribbean is this way right now. Spent 95% of our time at one of the many pools and swim up bars. Rooms were spacious and nice, bathroom was clean but could use updating. The nightly entertainment is by far the best we have ever seen.

We never did an excursions, it was just too nice to want to leave the resort with the many activities going on. We did walk the beach both directions from the resort checking it out and that was fun. I would say of the resorts we could see from the beach, it was one of the nicer ones we cld see.
