I am looking for a decent pair of bibs and possibly a jacket to go along with it this year. Any brands to check out? I'd rather not spend over $300 per if I don't have to. Are Frogg Toggs worth it? What about Scheels brand?

Thanks in advance

I've always been kind of a get by as cheap as i can kinda guy. With that said, the frog toggs and scheels are garbage. You don't need Simms but spending a little money is going to leave you happy.

I have a Simms jacket and it is awesome. Also have HUK bibs. They are sweet as well. That being said I have a Scheels set that served me very well for a number of years. All sets have kept me dry but the high end articles fit way better than the lower end stuff.

I run the carhartt rain gear. Never has disappointed me yet. Glad I had it the second day of governors cup last year. I stayed dry. I was very surprised considering that my bilge ran the whole time!!

Check out fieldsupply.com. I just order ice bibs and rain gear. Frabill. They have crazy sales right now.

Scheels in Grand Forks has Simms bibs originally $450 on sale for $224. Ya I'm a sucker for quality half price. Fargo also had them marked down to $250.
