Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these.

They have a lifetime warranty, including the batteries, is why I was looking at them.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Home use. I realize they're probably not top of the line and contractors don't use them, but the idea of not buying batteries ever again
seems nice.

i think they would do great for home use, im not gonna go challenge a Milwaukee with one but for around the house. why the hell not, we have a few of their smaller tools (12v) and the have held up well

What happens when few years down the road and they quit making that battery or any compatible battery? What will the replacement battery be? Replace the entire tool? Something to check on if the reason you're buying it is for battery warranty.

Do you mean like Cr*ftsman? I bought a drill/saw combo years ago. 6 months later no more batteries.

Yes, very good point. That's why I'm playing mental ping pong on this. Buying a tool just for the warranty probably isn't the smartest thing to do.

Kind of leaning towards Dewalt now.

Thank s for your input.

Ryobi ridgid craftsman milwaukee all same company. Milwaukee probably toughest followed by ridgid. I used ridgid for years, their quality has slipped. Used to be excellent tools. Ridgid batteries have always been backwards compatible unlike Dewalt whose quality has also slipped. Just my 2 cents

Where's the fine print?

I went with dewalt based on what I observed while working construction. Been pretty satisfies. 5 yrs without an issue until this spring. Now it seems my drill trigger has a dead spot in it.

and get one of these for heaven's sake - this thing has unstuck me on about 100 situations where I'd have been forced to disassemble, bust knuckles, hack, swear, cry, swear some more, do it the really really hard way, or not at all.

it is also superior to a hack saw - I can actually cut pipe, etc. at a nice 90 degrees now instead of the typical 75 degrees with some swooping action - ha ha

I run milwaukee every day and have been very happy. Most of my corded power tools don't even leave the truck anymore. If u are just looking for a drill and impact. U can get the non fuel version on sale for about 150. I have both types the fuel has way more power but also comes with alot bigger price.

All I've ever used was dewalt so I can't speak about the others. I used the 18 volt for many years on a daily basis. They seemed good all those years, but now I switched over to All 20 volt and the difference over the 18 volt is significant. The drills and batteries are smaller and lighter, and the battery life is night and day.

I own very few tools that aren't Milwaukee, corded or uncorded. I've got everything from a 12v drill through a 1 HP bench grinder and have had no problems. I've got a 1/4" hole hawg drill that my Dad bought in the late 40's that's still running strong.

Cliff notes buy Mlwaukee!!

The tools I am Upgrading are a Makita 14.4V drill and saw that I bought on Clearance at Sams at least 20 years ago. Think I paid $75. They still work, just low power and batteries die quickly.

X4 on Milwaukee. Plus it works wonders on a k-drill in the winter! Also need to pick up one of these dandy flood lights! Pick up one of these bad boys for $99 and toss your other portable lights away. This thing flat out lights up the place. Fishhouse especially.
