What do you guys think is the "best" protection for your boat when traveling? I bought a new boat last fall and need something before ice out.

The best protection would be an enclosed trailer.

I have a tow tector and like it. I gave a few buddies with kwick phyts and like those. They are about the same price, by I think kwick phyt is made in ND.

The best protection for your boat from being dinged up by u. Would be to hook it up to my pickup and let me take it.

have had rock tamers and tow tector... kinda meh on both...

there are poly shields i see in canada on trailers all the time, but i can't find anything on google about them, not even a pic...

they were on lund or ranger i believe, and were kinda half ass molded like a boat front (i think to be generic) that mounted to the frame of the trailer... ugly, but i'm sure very effective... best i've seen...

if interested, maybe try to google boat dealers in canada, or look at high end used boats for sale...

good luck...

I've had a bow buddy for a couple years and it seems to be working as it should. Think it was around $500.

There have been threads concerning boat protection at Walleye Central quite often. If you go with the rock barriers that hang below your bumper, it seems having them too close to the ground will cause more rocks to be thrown. The rock barrier that bolts to the front of the trailer is preferred.

I've been using a towtector for years but I'm looking for one of those large guards for the front of the trailer. The Montana guys run them a lot with all of the gravel, I think Montana rock knockers is a brand. I'm going to build my own I think since they get pricy. On a couple trips to fort peck the towtector did well but still got some chips going to hell creek.

This state definitely needs more paved access to a boat ramp, dammit.... Don't they know???
