I’d much rather see a re-introduction/special run of 77/22 bolt action rifles in rimfire and Hornet. They’d sell about 5x more than that Hornet RedHawk.

Even better would be a special make-up w/non-threaded v-block bbl attachments and featuring Lilja bbls.

Interesting im in the market for a varmit getter, my neighbors get nervous when i run a couple rds of my .223,22 long rifle gotta be a head shot on a dog or fox,im told the 25 20 low report sound, solid 150 kill range, cant find ammo for it or hornet.

This 25 20 i never herd of this caliber.

25-20 in model1992 Win. kill the largest 5-point whitetail to this date in earlier 1900. Have rifle.
Just bought some hornets and dealer had a case of them along with some other older shells one cannot find that easy. Got some 44-40 from him and he did have 25-20 on hand. Cannot remember name of town but it was 20 miles north of Bemidji MN. db

They had been making the 22 hornet and 17 hornet ammo pretty regularly the last year but its all been bought up. Who knows when the next run will be. 22 hornet went from $3 per round on gun broker to $1. Not sure what it is now

That would make too much sense . Even a CZ in 22 hornet would be nice

I wouldn't mind a nice 22 Hornet. I cut my teeth on a model 43 Winchester. It was my father's and I have passed that on to my middle son. Those early Hornets required a .223 not a .224 bullet. I blew a few of those thin cases in half before I realized that, but then I was ten years old when I started shooting and reloading it.

We didn't have enough money to shoot a lot in those days, but vaporizing gophers was so much more fun than using the old Marlin bolt action 22. We didn't have many brass on hand so in an old tied off pant leg I would carry bullets, primers, powder and a Lee loader oh and of course a hammer. At the top of the hill there was a Buffalo rub in the gopher pasture. I would rest the rifle on that, shoot a few gophers, then sit behind it and pound out another dozen rounds.

My grandson has CZ with a set trigger in 22 Hornet, and my nephew has the same rifle in 17 Hornet cut to 16 inches and threaded. A few years ago a fellow from Carrington was reaming to 17 K Hornet. I may have to pull the trigger on one of these while I'm still semi mobile.

CZ would've sold a jillion more 527 and 550 rifles if they'd done 2 things better.

1. Fix that morphodite backwards safety to be like every other safety since the beginning of time.

2. Market that SWEET single-set trigger that almost nobody actually knew about.

I can't count the number of folks who OWN THE RIFLE I've shown that set feature to that had zero clue that was even "a thing".
