So I pulled up a Ruger predator the other day and really liked how it felt. What are peoples thoughts on these rifles compared to others in that price range? If you have one, do you enjoy it?

Are you talking about the American Predator model or the M77 Predator model?

American predator, They have them for $400 at Scheels. Reviews seem good, biggest complaint seems to be that the gun feels cheap and the stock kinda feel/looks cheap, but it performs good. Some have said it is the most accurate out of box gun out there for cheaper models.

I own the .223 and the 6.5 Creedmoor. It is the most accurate rifle I own. Like it as it's already threaded for suppressor too.

The clips suck see. My .22-250 jams often. Ruger sent me a new one, but no change

I had a 223 in a Predator for a while and it shot well. I loaded 75 amax over RL15 and it was running at 2950. The only compaints i had were the magazine and the stock. I had to single load the amaxs there is a way to convert the magazine for longer reloads but kind of a pain in the butt. The stock is accurate but is flexible and the ergonomics didnt fit me well but overall the rifle shot well.

Very popular rifle. The predator model seems to be the most popular. I have sold a couple already and keep one or two on hand. Tough to beat for the money. Contact me if you want a price on something. 701-789-1811.

I bought the 308 to have a junker to play with so I don't wear out my custom 308. What a surprise. I shoot heavy 200 gr VLD-X because short barrels loose less velocity with heavy bullets. Not just feet per second, but percentage wise. I am pushing the 200 gr to 2459 and even though pulling the trigger is like trying to bend a steel rod with your trigger finger it does shoot .55 inch at 100 yards. I shoot it crappy off hand, but it does well of the bipod. It like Hodgdon's CFE-223.

Keep the input coming! I have seen a lot of articles talking about the clip and the stock but in the end they all say the gun is impressive and their new favorite. Seems like it could be a good fit for me, maybe I will pick one up and shoot it until the kids start hunting than pass it along and get something else.
