Water Temp 47*-49* at Indian Hills / Red Butte area. 17* air temp when we launched the boat, brrrrrrr. Shimano Calcutta Bait Caster + heavy PowerPro line casting for big pike = really cold / numb hands, lol!
Around the 47 mark from Van Hook south to Independance and west about 4 miles of Skunk. Lots of fish on graph but have to move around a lot to find active schools. Probably done for the year unless we get a week or so shot of warmer temps.
Amazing how much difference in temp we saw from the back ducer at surface, compared to the trolling motor a foot and a half below or whatever. 44-47 on surface. 49-51 on the trolling motor. Never witnessed that kind of swing before but makes sense with the cold overnight lows.
Saturday we fished Shell Island, Independence Point and Independence Island from 2pm until 730pm and the surface temps we saw were all in that 50-51 range.
