If you'd have ever had to pick branches up out of multiple fields after a bad wind storm, you'd want to pull out every shelter belt to. Then after you get them all picked up, another wind storm comes through and does it again. I'm a cattleman, not as much of a farmer so I like trees and shelter belts for wind protection for cattle so as much as I cuss old shelter belts at times, I'm still planting new ones. We have deer here because they have cover and food sources, annoys me that the people in good farm country east of me pull out all their trees burn all their sloughs and then can't figure out why they don't have deer around their place so they drive over here to road hunt.
I hear you and I have cleaned up along trees before digging and planting or cutting hay.

Who’s going to foot the bill for the electron microscope lab and tech, and extra prion slide storage space at the state lab? And what exactly will storing slides of positives accomplish? Seems like a waste of taxpayer money and a pretty frivolous bill. Wasting lawmakers time to get one over on the game and fish department.

Though I’m not surprised. I’ve said from the get go that this has nothing to do with CWD at the root, you just want to dismantle the g&f so they’re out of the farm bureau’s way.

What if cwd wasn’t made out to be what they have made it? What if the entire thing didnt get blown up to this level? What if the government had just left it all alone instead of making an issue where to anyone with an ounce of logic wasn’t and isnt an issue to begin with? Who pushed it? Did the people ask for any of it? Who started this giant waste of time?point your finger in the direction it belongs and not at those actually trying to fight back government overreach. Blame the ones who started this shitshow because most of us called cwd bullshit from the start.

You may --- no you are on to something there. Im currently sitting on a hill watching for coyotes and listening to KFYR. I woukd like to know more about CWD, but if they have spent that much and no so little it's time to back off, monitor, and wait for the technology to catch up with what we want to know.
Now they are talking about predation. If we want to help with that use the electronic posting and try build something positive out of that crap. Require reposting on January 1st. Also many landowners are ok with coyote hunting. Color code for big game, upland game, predators, and no trespass. Red no hunting, yellow hunting after deer season. Something can be done so us old guys with artificial knees and congestive heart failure can drive around and try for a couple coyotes a winter. Ya I know get out and walk, buy if you have a tough time makeing it out of the basement your not going to walk a mile through snow.

Am I in trouble for feeding fox in the back yard?

We are watching our Game and Fish come under attack from conspiracy theorists.

SB 1325 is proof they don’t even know how the testing protocols work or what the tests actually do.

It would be nice if some of these guys at least had the integrity to be honest instead of pushing lies and disinformation around. But that’s a big ask these days. They want to bait, no matter what they have to do to get it. They should all be ashamed.

Brock, again this isn’t a baiting bill. I can bait year round. 365 days a year. Feed for pictures, feed for wildlife watching, just not for hunting. That makes this a hunting restriction fight for me.

Yes the department can’t ban feeding or baiting so they regulate take.. but again, that makes it a hunting restriction.

I know you’ll claim you’re not an “activist”, but you’re still actively lobbying for bills that affect wildlife, including the Antelope gratis tag bill (I even agreed with you that I wish there was some form of change there, but wish it could be done with limiting opportunity). Sometimes I think you are an activist for good when we agree, sometimes I think you’re just an activist. But the difference is if I think a bill is right or wrong according to my opinion, either way you lobbying (even if we agree), it still makes you an activist also.
