Just wondering what everbody is running for rings and bases?

Just bought a Win M70 EXT and am starting to shop for a very good way to mount the scope. Scope will be a leupold.

Are you worried about weight? Weight, is how I would narrow my choices if I were you.

Not so much about weight I guess, just want rock solid and dependable. I anticipate this rifle take some abuse.

If you want really good seekins are top notch. You want simple light and rock solid one piece Talleys. Unless you plan on shooting long I wouldn't mess with canted bases. All my hunting rifles run talleys. Have also used the Burris xtr with 0 issues

The xtr will stand up to abuse ran that on my comp gun and they held when it got the Shit beat out of it.

No one likes them, but for durability the steel Weavers can't be beaten. They are unpopular because they tend to turn the scope when the rings are tightened. Steel Millets are also good and cost less than the heavily advertised brands.

Everything I own with a scope on it has Leupold rings and bases on it.

Exception being the AR with an Aimpoint on a Larue mount.
