Seems everyone likes what they like. Crown or Jamison for me. Find what works and go with it.

Jameson really is incredibly smooth for not being too high end, Johnny walker black if you like a little smoke and McAllen 12 ain’t bad either. Nothing wrong with having a few different bottles.

Pendleton for occasional mixing, crown for giving to your friends(to sweet for me, overated IMO)

Since you drink Crown Royal, I'll stick to the Canadian blends. Give Forty Creek a try. If you like Crown, you'll like Forty Creek.

I rarely find a bottle that is $30+ that isnt worth drinking. Upper level stuff is great of course. But, few can afford to make it a daily or even weekly thing. I prefer single malt scotch. Although the older mccallans, glenfiddich, glenlivets, etc... are all good and probably better, i find myself buying glen moray aged in port for $30 more than the rest. Its nearly just as good
.. maybe better... and certainly priced better.

I had Glenlivet for the first time last summer.. It was very good but I wasn't in the mood for sippin whiskey and I woulda felt bad mixing that stuff so I went and picked up some Pendleton...

Basil Hayden’s has become a favorite along with Woodford Reserve and Makers Mark. Lots of small batch stuff out there these days that are too hard to try to keep up with.

KDM has a good sippin rum, I forgot the name already so he needs to share what that is so I can pick up a bottle or 3!

Finally, someone got around to Woodford's Reserve. Pretty darn good stuff.

When it comes to less expensive varieties, I drank a fair amount of Yukon Jack as a sipping kind of drink many years back. It was a little on the sweet side, which I like.
