yeah BB, if the sun comes up in the east, that means it will be windy.

Drove from Bismarck to Fargo late afternoon yesterday. Tower City to Fargo took ~90min. 7 Semi's and 1 Bus in the ditch. Had to have been the wind because there wasn't 1 car in the ditch. 5 of those weren't going to be any big deal. Pull them up onto the road, patch up your ego and go. 2 of the trucks had the tractor sideways and the trailer still pointing mostly westbound. It's GOT to be a sinking feeling to have a ~40,000# tail wagging the dog. One truck was on it's side and mashed up pretty good. Again had to have been the wind, or I guess perhaps they came upon someone who'd slowed significantly and didn't realize it until it was too late and took the ditch rather than bashing someone from behind.

Yep I left Bismarck around 2pm and got home at about 6 around I think around Spiritwood 1-2 vans met the ditch on the overpass and I think one K.O.ed a poll. Things really got crappy at the Ayr Exit and I took the Chaffee exit to take a back way home instead of dealing with everyone else on interstate.

Oh GOODIE!!!!! A fresh layer of snow over new ice. This should push safe ice back a bit. At least it will for me anyway.

Yep we had about 4-5" of ice followed by 50 degree temps and rain and now wet snow. I was fully set on ice fishing tomorrow, but not so sure now.

It's like the song is on repeat every year. Get a thin layer of ice and dump 6" of snow on it.... frustrating. Good for tracking a kill though!

83 northbound and southbound in the garrison area is polished ice. Headed out to a job about 10am and was wet/slush, air temp droped to 23 and it turned to polished ice. Speeds are reduced to about 40 give or take.
